Why Barns?
My paintings are a result of being moved
by historic outbuildings and farm structures. I muse at how well these structures fit in their surroundings. When
I find such a scene, it is to me as though buried treasure has been uncovered and I want to express my joy. My palette
speaks about this emotional impact along with documentation from the season and time of day the painting was created.
