1. Artistic Purity: I will be dedicated to the pursuit of excellence of aesthetics and craftsmanship in my work set by the historical standards in the Genre. I will practice and promote the traditional creative process of Plein Air painting.

2. Presentation: I will endeavor to enhance and ennoble the discipline of Plein Air painting by maintaining a dignity of manner in my behavior, the presentation of my work and in all other forms of public contact.

3. Respect & Encouragement: I will exhibit respect for my fellow artists and their work, avoiding unjust criticisms, actions or comments designed to harm their artistic standing or work. I will willingly give of my knowledge and provide encouragement to artists individually and collectively so that the quality of the fine art in Plein Air painting may rise.

4. Honesty: I will promise to accomplish 90% of a painting on site. I will not call works painted in the studio or those painted from photographs Plein Air work. I will be sure the public recognizes the differences between my Plein Air works and Studio works by so labeling.
